Policies & Commitments
Our policies, commitments, and statements guide our Corporate Responsibility efforts.
Environment
Environmental Statement
Our Environmental Statement outlines our commitment to adapting our business practices to minimize the environmental impact. This includes assessing and managing our climate-related risks and opportunities; working to reduce, reuse and recycle waste in our operations and responsibly handle the waste we produce; implementing measures to improve energy efficiency and reduce water consumption; and actively working with our suppliers and customers to help them reduce their own environmental impacts.
Lead-Acid Batteries Statement
AT&T uses lead-acid batteries in its operations, mostly for back-up power systems for network facilities. At the end of life, these batteries can be recycled and re-used. Read our Lead-Acid Battery Statement to learn how AT&T is continuing to reduce use of vendors that may export lead-acid batteries that have been used in our network facilities for disposition and recycling.
Paper Policy
We have a Paper Procurement Policy. The policy addresses our commitment to environmental sustainability and our efforts to minimize our environmental impact with regards to paper procurement. We recognize our role in using responsible forest products and encouraging a market that conserves, protects and restores forests. This policy covers areas of paper certification, post-consumer waste content and paper reduction.
People & Community
Human Rights Policy
We take our commitment to human rights seriously and have a long-standing policy to adhere to the laws in the countries where we operate. Our Human Rights Policy addresses freedom of expression and privacy, protection against corruption, labor standards and sustainable environmental practices.
Philanthropy Policy
Philanthropy at AT&T is an important part of the company’s Corporate Responsibility efforts to support our local communities. Company
Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption Policy
Around the world, we follow ethical business practices in our dealings with public officials, other companies and private citizens. We do not seek to influence them, directly, indirectly, through the payment of bribes or kickbacks or any other unethical payment. Such activity erodes our integrity and, in most cases, violates the law. We strive to avoid even the appearance of improper influence. Read more in our Anti-Bribery Anti-Corruption Policy.
Artificial Intelligence Guiding Principles
